She is now a one very happy furkid. Her favourite activities include: - Long runs along the beach on weekends - Going to the park every day with Mum - Sneaking next door to play with her boyfriend - Cuddles with Mum - Sleeping with her teddy bear I’ve included a few photos of Tequila in her new home so you can see how happy she is. Cheers, Sadie

Jetlag = giggly
(Disappointingly, we didn't take any photos of us in our matching lime green PetRescue t-shirts which is a damn shame as they were *hot*. You'll just have to trust me). Animal Aid kindly showed us around and let us take some photos of their shelter:

Mon, 16 Mar 2009 08:28:03 -0700 What a lucky Cherub! http://petrescue.posterous.com/what-a-lucky-cherub http://petrescue.posterous.com/what-a-lucky-cherub Dear PetRescue, My boyfriend and I had been wanting a dog for a long time and he suggested we go see a few shelters that he found online. Of all the animal shelter websites, we found that PetRescue was not only professional, but was also up-to-date and really informative. We visited the Shenton Park Animal Shelter and were spoiled for choice. With the advice of the excellent trainers and staff at Shenton Park, we took home Cherub, a two year old bull terrier cross. She was really quiet and shy at first, but we just can't imagine life without her now. She keeps our feet warm at night, keeps us company while we work at our computers and gives me a reason to get out of the house and get some fresh air every day.
Media_httppetrescuecomaublogwpcontentuploads200903rajivandkissyjpg_pgctkcjliqucdfy
I'd like to thank the staff at Shenton Park for their help and hard work. They obviously care for their animals and do their best to ensure the best home for them. Cherub was already desexed, trained and socialized and even though money was no issue for us, she cost us only a fraction of the price compared to a dog at a shop. It's quite upsetting that people are still buying from pet stores or irresponsible breeders who only care about money. I hope that many more animals will be adopted out with the help of organizations like Shenton Park and PetRescue. We all know there are plenty in need of our help. All the best for the staff at PetRescue and thanks for your hardwork. Sarah and Rajiv

My son purchased a bull terrier pup through pet rescue in Wagga Wagga. He was one of 9 pup abandoned and one of the three smallest. He is now about 5months old and the most gorgeous dog. Maybe not cute and fluffy but just as cuddly even though a little big, and most beautifully natured dog. Thank you pet rescue for the wonderful job you do in rehoming these beautiful animals, I encourage my friends who are looking for pets to check your websites before they buy a pet.\\ Therese

Media_httppetrescuecomaublogwpcontentuploads200901panda1jpg_uaamofbgpaikdce
When my Father in Adelaide discovered PetRescue as the result of arranging to adopt Cabot (see below) he found out that another kind PetRescue Lady had rescued a girl Manx kitten from Death Row and had listed her for adoption. After prompt phone discussions between the Lady, my Father and Myself, we were able to offer a safe, loving home for this little black & white Manx girl with our adult Male DSH cat and cat friendly lady Australian Terrier. Accordingly, Panda, named for her markings (formerly Louise) flew from Sydney to Melbourne to join us. Panda not only charmed the airline staff, but was just as wonderful in her loving nature as the Rescue lady advised. She is a beautiful natured young lady. Panda has fully settled into our home, has been accepted by Wheat-Bix the Cat and Banshee the Dog. Princess Panda Rules the House, enjoys human company and has my husband, children and myself well trained! We are so happy to have Panda join our family, where she can enjoy life. Well Done PetRescuers – One Adoption resulted in Two Adoptions! Eugenie, Martin, Caitlin, Justin, Wheat-Bix, Banshee and Panda Mooroolbark, Melbourne

Already owned by an Adult Male Manx Rumpy (Rescued from Tasmania) and Devon Rex Lady (Rescued from Melbourne), we were not intending to have another cat join us. However, after reading about the Blacktown Manx on Google, which led us to PetRescue, I persuaded my wife to view him in Sydney with the kind lady who Rescued him from Death Row. As soon as my wife met this little Manx Man, we Unhesitatingly arranged to fly him back to Adelaide that night on the same aircraft as my wife. This Kitten is Mr Personality Plus and deserved to be saved. He had the Qantas staff fussing all over him. The Rescue Lady said this little fellow is so special she would have rescued him even if he was not a Manx and he is so loving/endearing we would have also flown him to Adelaide if he was a moggie. Manny our Rumpy Manx Man and Cabot (as we have named him) now 7 months old, have been inseparable ever since they met some 2 months ago and behave as though they have known each other forever, even though Manx Kittens play hard. They sleep together, play together and groom each other. Chloe our Devon Rex Lady has also accepted Cabot, but is more reserved as Cabot keeps trying to play with Her tail. We can not understand why this Lovely Microchipped Manx Kitten was never claimed and ended up on Death Row. However, we have gained a wonderful addition to our Family and are Daily most thankful for their companionship in our Cat Safe Home. We are glad PetRescue and kind Rescue people exist. Media_httppetrescuecomaublogwpcontentuploads200812nerojpg_chcbthmkieykddt
You will be happy to know Nero now rules the house, he lives inside has his own little bed and play area. He's very affectionate he likes to start his day early jumping up on our bed and basically won't get down until you get up. He likes to spend his morning rolling around our back patio and plays very well with our other pet a little Jack Russell named Bobby. Then its time for another snooze and some lunch, then maybe another little snooze and then an adventure in the back yard climbing a tree or chasing the dog. Nero is very spoiled and much loved and is the perfect pet for our son Sam. Once again thanks you to all the staff at Pet Rescue and I have and do recommend any body looking for a special pet to contact you guys and inquire. Kind Regards Julie, Mick and Sam. Nero and Bobby.

This is Zac and Dudley celebrating their first birthday in their new home. Neglected and homeless they found themselves at Renbury Farm Pound in NSW. Luckily, kind and dedicated foster carers from PAWS rehabilitated these lovely chaps, but most amazingly of all, their soon-to-be-new-mum Kaye was in PERTH! She saw them both on PetRescue and fell in love, flying them to be with her.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZAC AND DUDLEY! and many happy returns!

Mon, 20 Oct 2008 05:30:09 -0700 Pilchard http://petrescue.posterous.com/pilchard http://petrescue.posterous.com/pilchard
Media_httppetrescuecomaublogwpcontentuploads200810pilchardjpg_gkeampmficrfffj
My boyfriend and I adopted Kye now known as "Pilchard" after seeing his beautiful picture on your website. We have had Pilchard now for just over 1 month and love him to bits. His online profile matches his personality perfectly. He is a crazy ball of energy that loves to explore everything and anything all at the same time!! Some of his favourite pastimes are birdwatching, tearing up toilet paper, hunting out poor fish from outside the tank (and once jumped into the tank I might add), ambushing any unsuspecting humans, playing fetch with his mouse toys and ping pong balls, the fridge magnets, zippers on our clothing etc (anything that moves) and at the end of the day he likes to snuggle and suckle on the carpet next to us while purring his cute little head off. Other than the name Pilchard we have other names we call him also like "The Monster" "Monkey" "Terrorist" "Wolverine" "devil in a cat suit" etc etc He is now considered a member of our family and is very much loved by us both. We couldn't imagine our lives without him. He loves us too especially when we are in the kitchen area. Most of all we really love the fact that we adopted a fostered cat to give him a second chance.Your site features so many beautiful animals and we had a hard time trying to nail down the purrrrfect kitty :) Thank you for introducing us to our little angel. Kind regards Tina and Bruno
